The Akita is an authentic Japanese breed of dogs, originally bred to hunt large animals. It is a powerful, independent, and dominant breed, commonly aloof with strangers but very affectionate with family members and those it shares close connections with. As a whole, Akitas are generally rather hardy. Over time, they began to be kept by aristocrats and even emperors as watchdogs, due in large part to their rapid, impressive growth and strong build. All in all, there's no doubt in our minds that these dogs are the true Samurai of the animal kingdom.

Lithi was the companion of our good friend and team member Jon's brother in-law. He lived 12 long, fulfilling years and quickly became a steadfast staple in the family. From group pictures, to family gatherings, to a special guest appearance at Jon's wedding, Lithi was always a big part of the action. A loyal, obedient, and friendly dog, Lithi  brightened everyone's day.

Though exceptionally well trained and never aggressive without reason, Lithi had a strong presence and was not to be trifled with if he had reason to believe his loved ones were threatened. He needed nothing more than his discerning gaze to assert his dominance – it was felt when he was in the room.

In honor of Lithi's legacy and his impact on Jon and his family, QuestBourne commissioned "Lithi, the Akita Samurai!" as one of our first official models, and we're finally ready to share his (admittedly dangerous in the wrong hands...) power with the world (queue slashing katana noises)! We hope you love him as much as we have come to!

Note From the QuestBourne Team

We print every miniature and wash/clean them manually. While there's always a chance for small defects or anomalies in 3D prints, we try our best to make sure that every miniature that we ship is as close to perfect as we can make it!
